How can I cheaply and easily determine pH value in my wine, and does anyone
know how to do a paper cromatography to determine a presence of malic acid?! Thanks Kresimir |

Kresimir - There's no substitute for a pH meter. These are not cheap but
will last for years if properly maintaned. An option would be to take a sample to the local high school and ask the chemistry professor to have the kids do a pH test for you. Assuming you are in the USA look at piwine.com. They sell a papter chromatography test kit for about $40. Easy to use. ColorpHast pH strips work quite well and are a much cheaper alternative
to a meter. |
