hi, can wine be stored in mason jars with the metal lids? best

Certainly - but probably not successfully. I would not like the idea of
mettle lids and there is the problem of oxidation. Wine bottles are
designed with the shape they have to reduce the contact between wine and air
in the bottle. A mason jar has a very large opening and will have way too
much air to wine surface area. Wine bottles are cheap. You can generally
get them for free.
