WOW

After the last message I decided to rack the wine and squeeze the fermented
grapes. I also did a little taste test and this batch tastes like a
Chateauneuf du Pape with kick! I was surprised from the taste of the grapes
(being so sweet) I thought it would be like a port.

I am not going to go pick my bothers grapes on Monday, He and his wife will
be at work. He said he has 16 vines that came from this vine, but they are
only 5 to six years old.

Another happy new winemaker.

As far as the sweet grapes making sweet wine - that was just a misconception
on your part. Wine grapes are usually sweeter than table grapes. The
sweetness is extra sugar which the yeast eat to make alcohol. If you used
table grapes you would probably end up with a high acid low alcohol wine
unless you added sugar to it.
