I just started a batch of Welch's concord grape concentrate(recipe from
Jack Keller's site). I am wondering if anyone knows how long this wine
should age before it is drinkable?

Is this the frozen concentrate Welch's? If so, you can drink it relatively
young at 7 or 8 months; although it tastes much better if you can let it go
a year or a year and a half.

Darlene, Yes, this is the frozen concentrate Welch's. How good does
this stuff turn out? It is smelling pretty good....but only been
fermenting for about 3 days so far.

It's a very good starting point for learning how to make wine. I started
with frozen concentrates myself, and I still make them. It is very
drinkable, because it is already balanced to taste good. Like I said, it
will probably be drinkable at 6-7 months depending on your alcohol level and
how many times you rack it. If is has a kick to it, then letting it age
will help that. I've found it really improves, if you can hold out that
long, at a year or longer. I've been very happy with some of my frozen
concentrate wines at 1 1/2 years. It tastes like a red grape wine, kinda on
the light side, and can be sorta sweet (depends on how much sugar you used).
