NG Question
 

I thought this was a text only news group? I just opened a post that was a
picture and was definitely off topic. I did not think attachments were
possible. If they are, I wonder about security.

If you're referring to the post I think you're referring to, there
was not a picture attatched per-se. Your newsgroup reader saw the
URL for an image an autoloaded it.

Add to the list...
naughty naughty MickeySoft for configuring Outhouse Express to do that by
default, and naughty naughty Ray for using Outhouse Express, instead of a
*real* news client, to read newsgroups.
