I tried Dole 100% Juice concentrates and the made a pretty nice social
wine.... My kids like them. I used the recipe on Jack Keller's site for Welch concentrates and substituted the Dole products. The mad large lees but were pretty good. Later, A. J. You can by Welches and President's choice grape juice in 1.89 litre containers at any Loblaw's affiliated store-- not frozen concentrate but the actual juice in a large bottle. Problem is of course, it adds expense to the equation since a can of grape "punch" conentrate is only 1.50 average, but its 4 to 5 bucks to buy it already in the bottle. I made Pres Choice Concord wine-it's really too early to tell, but I did drink one bottle so far. Had to sweeten it a lot with wine sweetner to make it palatable. It's not really worth it cost wise to make wine this way, but its fun just for an experiment. |
