Mold on top of wine

I racked a batch of orange wine two days ago and now I notice there are
littlespots of white mold floating on the top. Is this something I should be
concerned about. I'm wondering if it is starting to spoil. It smells ok. Can
someone tell me?

Thanks,
Bill

Bill, molds do not grow directly on or in wine. The white spots are
probably a film yeast. It needs oxygen to grow, so reduce the amount of
head space and you should be OK.

Mold on top of wine

Hi: You should skim it off and float some bisulfite on the surface. Also,
I found that pouring a little bit of hi proof alcohol keeps the mold from
forming again.
