Default trivento golden reserve syrah and bunea vista the count

2012 Trivento Syrah Golden Reserve **

I got this on sale. if I had given the full price I would have been angry now, but its fine at the sale price (10.5E). red yogurty fruits, a bit of tannic feel. pepper. Not buying it again.

2012 Buena Vista The Count ***

Rustic fruity merlot/zin blend. dark fruits, peppery spice, smooth transition from start to finish. enough tannins to not make it feel jammy as zins can be, and yogurty as merlots can be.was good with my ossobuco bianco and saffron risotto. My wife went "wow this is my kind of wine". Ill only buy it on sale again, though.

looking back to my note from sonoma trip where I visited the winery:

The Count, Sonoma, Founder's Red ***
Syrah spice, pepper, dark fruit, rustic, earth 20$

interesting that its the same grade and similar notes. I didnt pick up earth this time though, and apparently I mistook zin for syrah haha.

Also cross referencing the legendary badge, which seems to be a luxury version of this, its funny to see that my wife exclaimed its her kind of wine.
