Default Kistler Pinot / Sequoia Grove Reserves

I finally got my hands on a Kistler Pinot Russion River. Looking for an occasion to drink it. How should I get the most out of it? spinach and salmon?
Get a cheap argentina pinot to drink first, so it will seem more fantastic that it actually is, hehe ?

I wrote Sequoia Grove about my 2 bottles of Reserve (that the travel has pulled up the corks 2mm) and they are afraid the corks are compromised, so I should drink them within 2 months. Of the bottles I brought home, I expected these to be the ones Id hold on to the longest

I wonder if I drink the 2006 and it is just fine, maybe I can keep the 2010 still? No wine leaked out from the corks, they were just up a bit.

Having to drink these first, postpones my occasion to drink the kistler as well.
