I picked this one up in St. Malo for about 8 euro. Wasn't expecting
much (read the label and thought" Domaine desolee!") but I was lusting
for a Loire red and the price was right.

It was actually a pretty good value lightish red but ripe clean and
went well with the pork loin, I would buy it again but St. Malo is a
bit of a trek!

St Malo, great name for a town in which to buy wine!
Did you drink this in France, or lug back?
Thanks for the note.

It came back in the bag. None the worse for wear thankfully.

St. Malo is also a very nice town to visit. I did a concert there last
fall and had a free morning afterwards, very pretty to explore the ramparts.

Joe I hope if you're that close in future, or coming through Paris, that
you'll give me a shout. We could get together for a lunch at least, and
perhaps find an interesting bottle to sample.

I did think of you Emery. But we were on a pretty tight schedule
(cruise) . . .Now that the euro is at least back to where i used to
thinnk it was high we will probably be back to France. My wife is a
bit upset with me that my last two trips that really took in France
were without her so I owe her big time.

Yeah I know how it can be when you're working. Too bad though.

I sure empathize with your view of the zorro, too. By comparison it's
pretty good, but that only serves to show how bad was bad...

So another time I hope.
