Default Vermouth

A friend has a bottle of Vermouth (red) that is very old - sitting around the
house for over 20 yrs - would it be still good - would just a sip hurt the
drinker

Probably not, but it doesn't hurt to try.

Neither a sip nor the whole bottle would hurt. When wine goes
bad, its taste deteriorates; it doesn't become poisonous.
