Hi, Ian -

Sorry to do this, but I'm not sure you've been getting my e-mail lately.
The service seems to have been a bit spotty. :^(

What's the best address to reach you at? I tried your wanadoo and info (at
your website) addresses. Is there another?

Thanks,
Tom S

Hi Ian -

Yes, I got yours - from your wanadoo account. Is that again usable?

I replied to your message, but didn't notice it was to the wannado account
until after I'd sent it. I then recalled that your mailbox is always full
etc., so I copied it and sent it to your info at souvigne address too. The
subject was "Thanksgiving", I think.

Maybe I should just pick up the phone and call... :^/

It's always been usable, but it gets spammed at the rate of >150 messages a
day. However, I have looked out for your emails after this exchange and
after your recent email and didn't see any messages from you. I'll have a
lok to see whether it was put into a "spam" basket, and if so try to find
out why and if I can't put you onto a "green list". But there are limits as
to how many email addresses I can look for, and note that you had changed
yours.

Didn't arrive.

I finally broke down and bought a spam blocker. Works great with
Outlook Express!

Actually, I sent that from my work address. My regular address is
unchanged, and that's the one I usually use for personal correspondence.

From what I understand, posting to newsgroups is a _great_ way to get on
every spammer's list in the world. Their web bots data mine the NGs for
legitimate e-mail addresses - which of course is what we all used when we
were newbies. So, as long as we keep the same e-mail address, we're
screwed. :^(

Of course communicating with people who routinely become infected with
viruses and the like because _they_ don't practice "safe hex" is another way
to get listed. The first thing many of those malware programs do is e-mail
the contents of the address book back to the perpetrators. Grrrr! >8^[
