Default Holiday Wines

To complete my holiday wine and food posting..... our New Years eve dinner
consisted of Lobster and Shrimp with linguine in a reduction of whipping
cream, tomatoes and horseradish. I was more than a little concerned about
the horseradish but it turned out beautifully muted and as an accent to the
sweetness of the lobster. I got lazy with the wine a bought a couple bottle
of Hillebrand Trius 2002 dry Riesling which turned out very well. Softly
citrusy with a lovely acid balance, medium mouth feel and a medium
finish.... All in all, a lovely wine. Finished with Margaret's world class
Creme Caramel.... all is well with the world.

Our wish is for a happy, healthy and prosperous New Year to one and all and
a fervent wish for peace on earth.
