Regardless - French syrah or Australian shiraz? - the Californian
examples quoted in the article still appear on the expensive side...

To quote.....

2007 Qupe Syrah "Central Coast" (about $20 per bottle)
2007 Denner Syrah (about $35 per bottle)
2007 Neyers Syrah "Old Lakeville Road" (about $35 per bottle)
2007 Drew Syrah "Valenti Vineyard" (about $33 per bottle)

Notwithstanding, whether I choose to convert to the $US quoted to $NZ or $A
or ‚¬ - these prices do not represent the value I can get from either France
or Australia.

M'lord, it isn't great QPR to purchase CA syrah in the US for that
matter!
