Default French wine and recession.

Hello All!

There is an interesting article about the difficulties of French wine
makers in current times: http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/europe/7969564.stm

I guess I've not been helping by drinking New World and Antipodean
wines.

No need to worry, the global buck will fix it all up in no time.

Today I just bought a bottle of Yalumba Barossa 2005 shiraz 2005 at Costco
for $10.99. The 2004 was 90 pts. Parker. I liked it.
Hope this is OK, too.

2005 is one of those magical years in which almost nothing is
below par, and most wines and wine areas are superb. Hope
that you thoroughly enjoy it, as I have all of the '05 anythings
that I have purchased lately.

I think there is something magical about 2005 myself; and a few times I've
mentioned it to a salesperson in a wine store, but it didn't warrant more
than a shrug. So I'm glad someone thinks so, too.
Thanks for your input.
