Default Tasting of Virginia

Saturday made grilled pork chops with praline mustard glaze, grilled
vegetables and salad. Opened a present from a friend who works at Cooper
vineyards in Virginia. The 2006 Petit Verdot. I am a big fan of Petit
Verdot. This wine was dense and dark with a nose of pure vegetables and
a bit of cherry and charcoal. Taste was more like a Cabernet Franc in
that is was very vegetal with long finish and lingering aftertaste. With
food this was a nice wine. Dale Scale B/B+. Might be worth buying if the
price is inexpensive. I don't know the retail on this bottle.
