Vegan (alt.food.vegan) This newsgroup exists to share ideas and issues of concern among vegans. We are always happy to share our recipes- perhaps especially with omnivores who are simply curious- or even better, accomodating a vegan guest for a meal!

After reading The China Study I am convinced that being a vegan is the
best route to go.

hi, im "half" vegetarian now
when i have the money, i go for organic food. (very pricey in my
country)
after reading some books, i learned that tons of non-organic food in
supermarkets has plenty animal derived chemicals. i learned about
renet, gelatin, etc...
i also learned that pizza dough and other breads might contain chemical
derived from human hair !!

i do still eat meat, but not as much. just started my "half
vegetarianism" life about 6 months ago. i used to be sick at least
twice a month, needing antibiotics, usually because of sore throat and
running nose.
its been 6 months i've never got sick.
go vegetarian, if u could, go organic

Yeah I used to eat meat all the time, and I got sick all the time, but since
going vegan I feel much healthier and my head is much clearer. Its really
the best choice, but it is quite hard to do. Being that animal products are
in just about everything that you get in the supermarket.
