Men with sausages attack vegan restaurant

Rowdies throw meat into veggie dishes at Tbilisi counterculture spot

Thugs wearing sausage necklaces and brandishing kebabs stormed a vegan
cafe in the historic old city of Tblisi and threw grilled meat into
diners' vegetarian dinners.

The men €” reportedly more than a dozen far-right extremists €” began
brawling with the patrons and staff of the Kiwi Cafe, according to Radio
Liberty's account of Sunday's incident in the Georgian capital. The
melee spilled onto the street where neighbors joined the fray, some on
the side of the vegans and others reinforcing the carnivores.

In a Facebook page statement, the Kiwi Cafe described the attackers as
"neo-Nazis" and said "they pulled out some grilled meat, sausages, and
fish and started eating them and throwing them at us, and finally they
started to smoke.... They were just trying to provoke our friends and
disrespect us."
