Default Uses for spent tea leaves?

I hate throwing away all these spent tea leaves and not doing anything
useful with them..anyone know how to, or if, you can compost them, or
if they're any good for mulch? I know that people are using spent
coffee grounds...not sure if that's just a trendy thing or not, I've
never composted before...
