Sushi (alt.food.sushi) For talking sushi. (Sashimi, wasabi, miso soup, and other elements of the sushi experience are valid topics.) Sushi is a broad topic; discussions range from preparation to methods of eating to favorite kinds to good restaurants. |

They pool their tips. Our of the pool, the cashier gets $ 20, the bus boys get $ 3 per waitress, the kitchen staff gets 15% and the girls split the rest. If the service is good, I would think that 10% is not inappropriate. More if your daughter works there, even if she's not your waitress. ;~) -- Nick, Cogito, ergo armatum sum Thank a Veteran and Support Our Troops! You are not forgotten. Thanks. |

I thought they make good money. Do bus boys get more on good nights since there would be more to bus. Some times I feel I should tip a dime for every plate I use. I go through a lot of plate since I don't like to pile everything on the same plate; use a plate for bones and shells; don't want to load up before tasting; don't want to have food get cold; average an hour and a half at a buffet meal. |

How the kitchen staff divides up their share is unknown to my daughter. > Do bus boys get more on good nights since there would be more to bus. More waitresses, more $$$. Also, I just learned that if someone skips out without paying their bill, the waitress has to pay it! That sucks, IMHO. -- Nick, Cogito, ergo armatum sum Thank a Veteran and Support Our Troops!
