White Trash Pear Salad

-- Ingredients --

2 large cans of pear halves, drained
1 1/2 cups shredded sharp cheddar
A jar of real mayonnaise

-- Directions --

1. Arrange pear halves in a shallow serving dish with the "cups" facing
upwards.
2. Place ~ 1 TBSP mayo atop each pear half, in the "cup."
*In our house, we have "adult-mouth" and "kid-mouth" flatware... don't
ask...
but, at any rate, I use a "kid-mouth" spoon-sized dollop on each pear.
3. Top each dollop with a few pinches of the shredded cheddar.

Refrigerate until ready to serve.

I really love that salad. Mom made it often. But...you forgot the half of
a maraschino cherry on top. <g>
