Take Along Taco Salad
Category: Tacos Yield: 6 servings 1 lb ground beef 3/4 cup water 1 pkg (1.25-oz.) ORTEGA® Taco Seasoning Mix - Regular 1/2 cup sour cream 1/4 cup ORTEGA® Medium Taco Sauce 1 pkg (12-ct.) ORTEGA® Taco Shells (12 ct), warmed and crumbled 2 cups shredded lettuce 1 cup chopped red onion 1 cup shredded mild cheddar cheese Procedures Optional: chopped tomatoes, sliced ripe olives BROWN beef; drain. Add water and seasoning mix. Prepare according to seasoning mix directions; cool. COMBINE sour cream and taco sauce in small bowl. Toss taco shells, lettuce, onion, cheese, tomatoes and olives in large, resealable plastic bag. Add beef mixture and sour cream mixture; toss well. Serve immediately or refrigerate. Top with additional taco sauce, if desired. |
