Default Crab Cakes

Crab Cakes


Servings: 4 - 6 servings.


What you need:


Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method
-------- ------------ ------------------------------*--
1 egg
1/2 cup fresh breadcrumbs
1/2 pound crabmeat
2 tablespoons green bell pepper
2 tablespoons mayonnaise
1/8 teaspoon cayenne
1 tablespoon peanut oil
1/2 cup cocktail sauce
2 lemon


Ready, set, cook!


1. Combine egg and breadcrumbs-mix well stir in crab, bell peppers,
mayonnaise,
and cayenne-mix well.


2. Heat oil in a skillet, over a medium flame. Drop crab mixture, by
teaspoonsful,
into hot skillet pan-fry for 4-5 minutes, until browned. Turn and
pan-fry another
4 minutes, until browned on both sides.


3. Drain briefly on a cooling rack and blot with paper towels.


4. Serve hot or at room temperature, garnished with quartered lemons
and cocktail
sauce to the side.
