Now that fresh corn is available, here is my method of cooking for one
or two people. Remove any portions of the husk with mold on. Peel back the husk, but do NOT remove. Remove all of the silk Cut about an inch off the end of the cob. Pull the husks back in place Put a small rubber band around the end of the cob to hold it in place Microwave on high (I use 3 minutes for 1 cob in a small 700 watt) Let sit for a couple of minutes Remove husks and serve. This is simple, quick, no pot to clean, no water to boil, and it steams the cob right in its own husk. Tip to senior's and singles... If you buy a bunch of corn, cook as above, then let cool in the husk. Freeze in the husk in a plastic bag. Take one out and let defrost Heat at medium in microwave for about three minutes. (High will toughen the kernels) Regards Lee in Toronto -- Rec.food.recipes is moderated by Patricia Hill at . Only recipes and recipe requests are accepted for posting.
