Fried Collard Greens

2 lbs. collards, washed
1/2 pound bacon

Slice greens very thin. Cook 1/2 pound bacon; crumble bacon up in bacon
fat. Put greens in pot. Cover and cook on low heat for 30 minutes or
until
tender. Wash greens in baking soda to tenderize if you cook before the
first frost.
