Old Fashioned Tea Cakes (Tea Cookies)
LaRue Massey's Mother's Recipe

Preheat Oven to 350 Degrees F.

2/3 cup butter
1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
2 eggs, beaten
1 1/2 cups flour
2 tsp. Pure Vanilla Extract
4 tsp milk

Cream butter sugar. Add eggs. Blend together well. Add flour. Mix in well.
Lastly add vanilla and milk. Drop by spoonfuls and bake on lightly
buttered
baking sheet 2 inches apart until light brown (on edges).



LaRue Massey's Grandmother's Tea Cakes

1/2 cup butter
1 egg, beaten
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1 cup cake flour
1 tsp. Pure Vanilla Extract

Cook as Mother's
Traditionally these are eaten dipped in milk.
