Default Tandoori (Roasted) Pomfret

Tandoori Pomfret

2 pomfret fish, (abt 300 grams each)
salt to taste
2 Tbsp lemon juice
3/4 cup yogurt
1 egg
1 Tbsp ginger paste
1 Tbsp garlic paste
1/2 tsp carom seeds
1 Tbsp gram flour
1/2 tsp turmeric powder
1 tsp garam masala powder*
2 Tbsp butter /oil

Wash and clean the fish. Make incisions on it and apply salt and lemon
juice. Keep aside for 20 minutes. Mix all the other ingredients except
butter/oil. Apply this marinade to the fish and let it stand for about 1
hour in the refrigerator. Put the fish on a skewer and cook it in pre-
heated oven(180 degree Celsius) for about 8 to 10 minutes. Baste with
butter and cook in oven for another 3 minutes Serve hot with lemon wedges.
