Default Honey Candied Walnuts

Honey Candied Walnuts

1 1/2 cup granulated sugar
1/4 tsp. salt
1/4 cup honey
1/2 cup water
1/2 tsp. vanilla
3 cup walnut halves

Boil together first 4 ingredients, stirring often to 242 degrees or firm
soft ball stage. Remove from heat. Add last 1/2 teaspoon vanilla, 3 cups
walnut halves. Stir until creamy, then turn out on waxed paper and
separate walnuts. Use a big pan. May use 3 1/2 cups walnuts, but any
more will not coat well.
