Default Beef and Cabbage Casserole

Beef and Cabbage Casserole

1 pound ground beef
1/2 cup chopped onion
1 clove garlic, minced
1 quart stewed tomatoes
1 can (8-ounces) tomato sauce
1/2 cup instant rice
1 medium head green cabbage, coarsely chopped
1 bay leaf
Salt and Pepper to taste
1 Tablespoon sour cream

In a skillet, saute ground beef, chopped onion and garlic until beef is no
longer pink and onions are translucent.
Add rest of ingredients, mixing well.
Cover and simmer for one hour. Add water, if necessary. Remove bay leaf
before serving.
Spoon sour cream over top and warm.

Serves 6.
