Default Ham and Mushroom Pate

Ham and Mushroom Pate:

1 Tablespoon butter
1+1/2 cups chopped fresh mushrooms
3/4 cup ham crumbs
3 oz cream cheese
1/4 teaspoon dried thyme OR 1 teaspoon fresh thyme
1/2 teaspoon dry mustard
1 drop Tabasco
Crackers

Using a processor, chop mushrooms until fine, but not too fine. Saute
mushrooms in butter about 5 minutes until tender. Using processor, process
ham bits until very smooth, add thyme, mustard and tabasco. In a medium
bowl, blend mushrooms, ham, and cream cheese. Pack into a pretty bowl, or
crock, or shape into log. Refrigerate to mellow. Serve with crackers.
This would be good as a filling for cream puffs, sandwiches, or cherry
tomatoes, or spread on crisp, sturdy, raw veggies.
