Amish Fried Apples

8 apples, peeled, cored and sliced
1/4 cup butter
1 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp nutmeg
1/4 tsp cloves
1 Tbsp lemon juice
1/4 cup sugar

Melt butter in skillet.
Add remaining ingredients simmer until apples are tender
about 20-25 minutes. Serve warm.
