Sorry! You need to beat the eggs only 3 minutes, not 30!
Ron "Audet" > wrote in message We love this recipe. It is easy and delicious. Ron Italian Easter Anise Cookies 8 whole eggs 1/2 teaspoon salt 7 tablespoons sugar 2 teaspoons baking powder 7 tablespoons vegetable oil 2 teaspoons anise seeds 2 teaspoons vanilla 4 cups flour Beat eggs in large bowl until creamy and very airy, about 3 minutes. Add salt, sugar, baking powder, and oil, and continue beating for a few minutes. Add seeds and vanilla. Stir in with spoon. Add 3 cups flour and fold in. Then add the last cup of flour a little at a time. Roll dough out on board and shape cookies using remaining flour. Dough should be soft and sticky. Shape in diagonal pieces or diamond shapes, about 2 inches long. Bake 15 minutes until brown at 375 degrees. Frost with powdered sugar icing. Makes about 75 cookies. -- Rec.food.recipes is moderated by Patricia Hill at . Only recipes and recipe requests are accepted for posting. Please allow several days for your submission to appear.
