Default Apple Peanut Crumble

Apple Peanut Crumble

5 cooking apples, peeled, cored and sliced
2/3 cup of packed brown sugar
1/2 cup of all purpose flour
1/2 cup of quick cooking rolled oats
1/2 teaspoon of ground cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon of freshly grated nutmeg
1/3 cup of margarine or butter, at room temperature
2 tablespoons of peanut butter

Place the apple slices in a slow cooker. In a medium bowl, combine the
sugar, flour, oats, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Mix in margarine or butter
and peanut butter with a pastry blender or fork until crumbly. Sprinkle
over apples. Cover and cook on LOW for 5 to 6 hours. Serve warm, plain
or with ice cream or whipped cream.
