Today Avery Anne Robertson, my greatgranddaughter, joined the society of
those who cook and preserve foods. She was born by C section at 0830
this morning in Houston, Texas and weighed in at 8 lbs, 4 ounces.
Needless to say she is beautiful. I look forward to teaching her to cook
and can in the near future.

George

Well, Ms. Avery Anne, welcome to the Holy Order of the Sacred Sisters of
St. Pectina of Jella. Don't worry about the Father Inquisitor -- he's a
nicer guy than he likes to pretend.

Congratulations, Jorge!!

Congratulations, George. And good planning on Avery Anne's part, being
born in Houston.

Regards,
Bob

Since her parents, grandparents and great grandpa are all native Texans
it was a natural thing. There's lots of us expatriate Texicans out there
Bob, including you IIRC. I suspect we'll get over to see her pretty soon.

Congratulations to the whole family and
welcome to the world, Avery Anne. She's
a very lucky young lady to be the heir to
your food wisdom.

I must have lived way up here too long. I forgot the Yeeeeehaaaa! part
earlier.

Slightly embarrassed,

Congrats, George. Jeez, you with a greatgrandkid and I'm right around you in
age and don't even have a grandchild yet. My kids are just slow, I guess.
Again, great news and congratulations..

Obviously lack of chile in yer diet. It's not the heat, it's the humidity that
does it.

Avery has an older sister also, Zoe is three YO now and quite grown in
her own estimation. We tend to bloom early and fade fast. I married at
21, was a father at 22, a grandfather at 41, and a greatgrandfather at
62. My son is a different story, he will be 41 in September and has two
children, a six yo and a three yo. His son, aged 3 is only 11 days older
than my eldest greatgranddaughter. I'm willing to share, sometimes the
kids are more trouble than I want at my age. NOT!

Yep. Babysitting a 2 year old grandson for the past year
has made me realize why biology gives babies to young people.
They are exhausting! (But, unlike your own, you can send
them back when you're done with them to "preserve" your sanity.)
