How about this crappy deal?
Please note that on or around July 15, 2009, AT&T will no longer be offering access to the Usenet Netnews service. If you wish to continue reading Usenet newsgroups, access is available through third-party vendors. Distribution: AT&T SouthEast Newsgroups Servers Good thing I'm dumping most of their other services in retaliation. |

Just build a free account and point your newsreader at http://news.motzarella.org/ |

I provider did that a long time ago. They dropped use net and now I have to go through a third party. Curiously, they did not reduce my monthly bill to reflect the reduced service. I spend more time on groups than I do on surfing or email. |

I got a special a few months ago, and switched TO AT&T. DSL for $10/ month for a year. After that I'll shop around. --Bryan |

I do surf a lot though, mostly looking for stuff for DW and for recipes for dinner. |

Started with Bellsouth, my phone provider, then AT&T bought them out. I figured things would start going wrong when AT&T got in charge and I wasn't wrong. The only thing better is the DSL tech service almost improved. It only took three techs to find out what my problem was last time. |
