Weights of Peels
 
hello,

I have a recipe that calls for 1 cup of lemon peels. does anybody have a
chart for how much a cup of lemon peels weighs. same for orange, lime?
I try to cook by weight if possible.

I guess that would depend on how thick the peel was cut.

well the weight is a standard on some chart. lets say I mince the peels to
get a uniform cup measurement.

Are you referring to fresh peel from the fruit or candied peel? There's a
considerable difference in the weight of each.

Buy yourself a measuring cup. Think this is a fake posting as I've
never known anyone who used a scale for fluid measurements. Using a
measuring cup is much simpler than using a scale unless there are

Ehh? OP was asking about the weight of a cup (presumably US 8 oz) of
lemon peels. Where's the liquid measure come in?

*And* I always weigh all the ingredients I put into my bread. I know the
amount of liquid I want by weight, and I use the same scale (and bowl)
for all of it...
