I sent off the check 16 days ago and haven't seen hide nor hair of the
books yet. Guess I need to do a follow up on it. Have been looking
forward to checking it out.

Boy, talk about service. Right after I sent the above message UPS rang
the doorbell, setting off the guard dog, all 20 pounds of her. Delivered
the two copies I ordered, one for me, one for the daughter. Quick look
inside says it's all it's supposed to be and will be a valuable adjunct
to my canning prowess.

They must be getting bogged down. I mailed a check on Thursday and
had the book the following Wednesday.

I like it too. I plan to spend some time this winter reading all of
the preserving books that I have acquired recently. After I get the
rest of the produce preserved. Right now I have about 8 or 9 quarts
of muscadine juice to can and make jelly from. I just steamed a half
bushel of Red Rome apples (my DIL got the other half bushel.) I used
the Mehu Liisa for steaming. I may add some of the juice back after I
check the taste and consistency. I also bought some of the current
crop of black beans so I figure I have at least another week of work.
After that I hope DH yanks me out of the store if I look like I am
going to buy anything else to be preserved.
