Default Amazon Grocery

They are in the beta stages and have opened it up online:
http://www.amazon.com/b/ref=amb_link...&node=16310101

Has anyone tried it? A freind was able to find some tea she couldn't
find elsewhere. I have't ordered anything, but it might be nice for
the occassional hard-to-find items.

-L.,

It was just a matter of time. It's all dry processed food crap.

I'd buy a book sight unseen, but food, nope.

I wonder how the prices compare to the wholesale clubs or megamarts, etc.

Do they take coupons?

It is probably going to crash and burn. The YES men win again.

Imho,

Andy

The prices are not very competitive (unless you get in on one of
the deals, like $10 off a $50 purchase), and they sell mostly
case lots. OTOH the free shipping on orders over $25 still
applies.

I've ordered food from Amazon before, if I've been looking for a particular
brand of something that's not available in my area. Problem has always been
the shipping cost. And since it was never from amazon itself but rather the
partner stores, the shipping could be crazy. Most of the time I decide I
really don't need it that bad and I skip it, but I have ordered a few
things.

If I can get the stuff from Amazon and get free shipping, then adding a
bottle of something here and there to an order would make some sense, at
least. I'll probably look it over and see what they've got.

Free shipping on orders over $25. I checked.
