Pizza with lots of toppings.

Iceberg wedge.

Americanized Mexican food.

Pancakes with maple syrup.

An omelette with lots of ingredients, and cooked harder
than the French would cook it.

Salad bars.

Hush puppies, deep-fried okra.

Cobb salad.

Oysters Rockefeller.

Ice Cream.

Waldorf Salad.

Watermelon.

By region (roughly)

Northeast:
clam chowder, lobster, Indian (molasses) pudding, beer, coffee
OR: clambake, beer, strawberry shortcake or apple pie

Southeastern:
fried chicken, potato salad, watermelon, sweet tea
OR: jambalaya; any kind of shrimp, pralines

Midwest:
barbecued pork, cole slaw, brownies, beer
OR: hotdish, jello salad, macaroni salad

Northwest:
salmon, fresh vegetables, mixed berry shortcake

Southwest:
grilled mahimahi or calamari cutlet, fruit salad, rice pilaf, wine
OR: anything Tex-Mex or Cal-Mex, margaritas

Oooooooooh, not just *very good*....the best! I'd give my (insert
important body part or organ of choice here) to have Walleye available
here in Maryland....
