Default "CIOCCHI" Cookies (...for marsala time) photo and recipe

For tea time or marsala time. Here are some simple cookies with chocolate
and almonds. Recipe is from a cooking book. I have tasted now, they are not
soft nor hard. Good! I should have put more black pepper,

CIOCCHI cookies

Category: COOKIES
Nb persons: 12

500 g flour - all purpose
150 g almonds - without skin
1 tsp cinnamon - powder
100 g cocoa - bitter powder
200 g sugar
1 tsp black pepper
300-320ml water
30 g butter - for the baking pan

In a large boil mix flour, sugar, cocoa, cinnamon, pepper and almonds. Mix
well before add the water (few at a time) you need to obtain a smooth and
omogeneous dough (consistence must be something like short pastry). Let it
sit for about 1 hour.
In the meanwhile bring the oven to 180°C and butter a baking pan.

When 1 hour is spent, work the dough briefly again, then give it a big
salami shape (1.25 " high) and put it over the baking pan. Cook in the oven
for about 15 minutes. Then take out from oven, let it cool for about 10
minutes and then cut the salami in slices 0.4" thick, which you will put
again over a papered baking pan. Put again in the oven for other 15 minutes.
Have a goodr marsala time or tea time.
