DH makes these really great 1/2 lb burgers. We need at least 8 lbs of meat when he makes these if family and/or guests are over. BTW, neat trick, you can bbq the burgers then cool and freeze. Pop the burger into a bun and warm in the mw. It makes for a really quick but tasty meal when you are in the mood for burgers. I keep a pack of cooked burgers in the freezer for this very purpose. |

The meat forms a quarter to half inch layer in each bag, and you stack them up. Much less space-consuming than having six butcher paper wrapped packages, or one pound slabs on styrofoam. Friday night my husband and myself did a mini-tasting of the Maytag Blue and a Rogue Creamery blue (they make about 7 kinds), but it looks like 3 are currently being main-stream marketed (but still hard to find). Anyway, we thought the Maytag blue was able to hold it's own nicely against the Rogue Creamery blue and we're still very fond of the Maytag blue. Chris in Pearland, TX |
