Wrong on so many levels it isn't even funny. Wrong that you asked
for Pepsi and wrong that he got the big bottles. Gotta be the cans.

Problem.

That's cute. Hey, you can't even say too much, otherwise next time
it might be, go yourself, I always get it wrong. Few weeks back I made
the mistake of saying, hey, english muffins (yes, those very ones), buy one
get *two* free, as I was flipping through the circular. Didn't say get
them.
Must stop talking to myself out loud.

He came home from food shopping, I got 3 english muffins! Uh oh, he
didn't ... before I could say a word, he said, yeah, I didn't know you
needed to bring a coupon, the cashier told me and tore one out for me.

Thank you, cashier. And thanks, Ron, for the thought.

Gotta be Diet Pepsi if that's what he asked for. It's what I'd ask
for, too--and if I got Diet Coke, I'd take it back.
(trying the Black Cherry with a touch of vanilla Diet Coke--not as
good, imo, as Wild Cherry Diet Pepsi, though.)

Was there a written list specifying everything? If not, that's what's
needed. "If I put down a brand name, that's what to get; if I put
just a category, use your judgment."

That was a sweet gesture! I hope you actually like English muffins :P
My DH stopped by Walgreens the other week and picked up some supplies
for us - he got entirely the wrong brand of toothpaste but I'm not
going to complain because at least he remembered that we needed it,
and he made sure it was a 'basic' kind and not whitening, brightening
quadruple-flouridated etc. I'll just hope it's edible when we get to
that tube...
