My new system actually has a command button for IRC now i just have to
figure out how to use it.

Any hints you might want to give a Mac user?

I tried a month or so ago to join the chat with my old OS 8.1 system and
it would not handle the process, would 'quit' on me. Now im using OS
10.3.1 and am told it will be quite easy to use IRC, but i never have
so.....

I used the web interface until I installed ChatZilla. Get Firefox
(tabbed browsing rocks) if you don't have it, if you do - it's a
plugin. Once installed, you'll find it under Tools.

It's a cross-platform client -
http://www.hacksrus.com/~ginda/chatzilla/
Chatzilla is an easier to use client; sort of a hybrid between mIRC
and the web interface. We have computer geeks on chat, so once there
they can guide you with the process. What happens is when I have a
question and want to know how to do something one reads the directions
and tells me how to do it in plain English.

Good Luck!
