Default potato recipes

Once, when I was single and living by myslef. I got laughed at by the
grocery stiore clerk for buying 1 potato. "A single potato? never seen
anybody buy that before. What's a person gonna do with one single
potato? Damn, hahahahahahaha....!"

Well gee, I was gonna take it home and bake it and put butter and sour
cream and chives and cheese into it. I thought it was a good, easy,
frugal, college-kid dinner. But it sure made me feel silly!

Nowadays, nobody laughs at me when I buy my 3 potatoes! (I get
yellowfinns in 5 lb sacks and red potatoes in 3 lb bags, but my
baking(russet) potatoes i buy loose when I need em. Never can buy one
without thinking of that day, though.
