Default 9" parchment circles...?

Howdy,

I need about 500 9" parchment paper circles and thought that
they would be easy to locate.

To my surprise, the only source I can find is an outfit
called "Sugarcraft" and their price for the shipping is as
high as the price of the goods.

I try to avoid buying from outfits that profit so grossly
from the shipping.

Might you know of another source?

Sincere thanks,

Have you checked for a local cake supply store? Or perhaps
Wilton's has it online?

Hi again,

I thank you for the suggestion, but no luck on Wiltons...

A friend who is visiting just helped me though. When I told
her of my search, she quietly repeated "Hmmm Parchment
Rounds...?"

When I changed my google efforts from "parchment circles" to
"parchment rounds" I get many more hits.

All the best,

ditto. Or, any food service supplier, or local grocery stores with a
bakery, or any local bakery. Any grocery, bakery, or restaurant can order
them for you, especially if you are a good customer.

Hi Elaine,

The solution turned out to be using the proper term in my
google efforts... "rounds" did the trick.

Hi Kenneth,

Glad you were able to solve the problem.

It would be nice if the search engines like Google had a "see also" list
of synonyms and alternate terms.<g> I don't know how many times I have
searched for something for which I didn't have an exact term and
therefore, didn't get the results I needed. sheesh. That is so
frustrating.

Hi again,

I would expect that with today's technology, I could type in
"Parchment Circles" and Google would respond by asking me
"Do you want those paper-like things that you can put
between your crepes so that you can separate them more
easily after freezing...?"

All the best,

Maybe you need a cutting laser head for your printer. Just put the ream
of paper on the bed, and print out a circle. There ya go.

Seriously, I wonder if these will ever become common. They can be
quite safe buried inside a printer, and would print out paper
decorations, envelopes, and various functional items too. All with a
pretty black edge.

They are all over the net, but the number you want will weigh a bit.
What is the shipping they are asking?

Meanwhile, investigate he

I think that anyone who sells the bulk number you need will be to the
trade or professionals and smaller orders might take the brunt of
shipping charges.

Here's an outfit that charges exact shipping only.

Howdy,

I don't have the prices before me, but the goods were on the
order of $20 and the "shipping" $18.

With the least expensive UPS ground service that should have
been on the order of $4.

Try King Arthur Flour. No spaces, dot com. Or Maid of
Scandinavia/Sweet Celebration in MN. They're online, too, but I don't
know which name they're using. MOS is a local storefront here, too,
More than one, in fact.

I placed an order with Maid of Scandinavia over the phone last month.
By the time I hung up the phone, the order was here. Seemed that way,
anyway. I posted a link to their site earlier, as Sweet Celebrations.
They charge only for the postage they actually pay. No padding.

Kenneth,

I've seen them on the King Arthur online catalog site. Go to
www.kingarthurflour.com and follow the links.

HTH!

Happy New Year!
