As hot as it is in Cow Hill, you don't want mayo on top of >ribs. Although I know exactly what you meant by that last sentence, it strikes me as very funny in a revolting-food-combo sort of way. Actually, I'd settled on some sort of slaw after a quick trip to the store proved that no vegetables worth eating were available. I also got some sort of melon (crenshaw, maybe?) and a couple of avocados and some lemons, which, with chili powder and a chiffonade of basil and some lemon verbena and some olive oil, I'll conjure into a salad. > >Happy birthday! > >Cindy, in tepid (82?) Seattle It's not terrifically hot in Cow Hill at present. Mid 90s, is my guess. Regardless, I have on my new birthday present swimsuit (no, not birthday suit, swimsuit), and the pool is calling. modom |

L'Chaim, Margaret Thanks, Margaret. I'm about to go out for some birthday beer. I'm thinking it'll be Shiner Bock. The ribs have been in the pit for nearly five hours now. Time to make a sauce. modom |
