Default Question: freezing home made pesto?

Hello,

I am planning to make a pesto out of basil (which I have an excess of),
walnuts, parmesan, and EVOO. Maybe I'll use garlic, too. I'll serve ti
with whole wheat pasta.

I'd love to use up the basil and then freeze most of the pesto. However:
will it keep? I wonder if the basil would go funny, or maybe the nuts?
It would be a shame to ruin those good ingredients....
