Default Kitchen Confidential as a TV Show?

Fox is planning this:

http://www.fox.com/schedule/2005fall/kitchenc.htm

Doesn't make much sense how they can get a "series" out of this book but
apparently someone is willing to try.

Ah, Fox ... I was wondering if FoodTV would bite the hand that
feeds it by doing an expose on restraurants. (Do I have the right
book in mind?)

The movie version SEARED was in the works for awhile. David Fincher
(SE7EN, ALIEN3, THE GAME, PANIC ROOM) was attached to direct and Brad
Pitt was attached to star. This was a while ago and I assume that it's
since gone into turnaround.

The book is the one where chef Anthony Bourdain "exposed" what goes on in 4
star kitchens with all the drug abuse, women in the walk-in cooler, someone
bopping the bride at the private dining/reception... lots of stuff I found
hard to believe. He gave one bit of credible advice: don't order the fish
of the day on Monday or the fish surprise (or whatever they call it). It
was ordered on Friday and didn't sell over the weekend

It's not like that. It's just a drama show about centered around the
chef.

I'm not in the food business but really enjoyed that book. I've also
read some of his fiction. I'm not sure what Fox will do with it but
I'll watch the first episode. He often contributes on eGullet. No
cable here, yeah, whoever, I'm too cheap, right. So I have missed his
series about travelling all over trying different foods.

I actually *enjoyed* the book on travel and food. It wasn't all about
himself
