I have wondered about that, Lena. While I like Ramen-style noodles
for various uses (good for disaster food storage, BTW) I don't think I
have ever actually seen "Ramen" as a brand name. I think almost
everything I've seen is the Maruchan brand. I do remember, however,
that as a last-minute addition to storage before y2k, I bought a bunch
of these at 10 cents apiece and just a few days ago, which would be
over 4 years (good grief, how time flies) I tried one and it tasted
like new. I thought they tended to go rancid over time.

I saw one of your mystery ingredients. I love ramen with 2 eggs.

In fact I'm a little laid up today and I think I'm going to go to the corner
store and get a packet of ramen.

Thanks for the idea.

my favorite is ramen stir fry with bok choy, bean sprouts, chopped
celery, shrimps in extra virgin olive oil with a dash of sesame.

Somewhere men are laughing, and little children shout...But there is no
joy in rec.food.cooking--mighty "rmg" has struck out.

Muuuuum, can we keep it, pleeeeeease?

I know it puked in the kitchen and
did wees on the carpet and
did a big poo in the lounge and
bit a hole in your handbag and
scratched all the wallpaper and
dug up all your flowers and
dribbles and smells all the time and
basically doesn't know his base from his apex

but he's so *funny*,
and when you scratch his tummy *here* his little leg
goes *really fast like this*

--"Jade," in alt.fan.pratchet, infers that I am basically
Usenet's new puppy.
