Default Bush: A benevolent dictatorship actually can work

Dubai is a lovely example of a government that is run
by a single Sheikh as a corporation.

Dubai's scenic vistas offer investors a panoramic view
of the flat desert out of which rises the modern day
success story of political democracy rebranded as
corporate theocracy: "Dubai Inc." after it declared its
independence from Britain.

President Bush remarked quietly in an recent interview
with Dubai's CEO, "Dang, I wish Karl had thought of that one."
Dubai's leader and CEO Sheikh Maktoum bin Rashid Al Maktoum
gave the President some useful tips,
"Once you own your Congress and your Supreme Court,
what do you need them for ? They're just dead weight
that needs to be pruned. Remember, we arabs know alot
about gardening. The Garden of Eden was in Iraq."

The President's eyes started blinking rapidly.
Lemons, cherries, and dollar signs. Now he saw the light.
Yes, Americans really would enjoy a Christian theme park in Las Vegas.
It would become the new American Mecca.

Bush returned to Crawford more giddy than when Karl Rove
explained how focus groups clearly showed that reading
Pet Goat to a bunch of children would be his perfect alibi
for 9/11.

In Crawford Bush immediately held a conference call with
Britain's Prime Minister Tony Blair. Blair cautioned Bush
that the Parliament would be much harder to externalize
than the American Congress. "Our parliament came after
your American Revolution so we've made some improvements
to Democracy that you yanks, urr, missed."

"Listen Tone Man. We've got top people working on it right now." said Bush.

"Who ?", asked Blair.

"Top. People.", Bush replied.

Blair looked nervous. Who was this guy ? This wasn't exactly
what he signed up for. Diana was one thing, but was Britain
really ready for Bush World ?

Will the Boom Continue?
"A benevolent dictatorship that’s run like a profitable business,
not a dictatorship, actually can work."
